Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For this part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne was in the church stage. Her love for performance and theatre was cultivated as a teenager.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her roots. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway drama Reasons to Be Happy. She went on to star at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on Old Globe Theatre. In October 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey began an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has been a huge success, landing on the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads within its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her path to Hollywood acting as a professional as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, which is a story of the greatest friendship they had and their time in The Office.
